Across the narrow river, thief enters a modest ochre workshop through a green door under the three-wave sign. Ronald, Tony and Sokha watch from near bank. Tony: Then we know where he went.
Sokha points along the river towards a small public bridge. Ronald folds map into his shirt pocket. Sokha: The bridge is this way. Stay together.
Inside workshop: thief opens empty case in front of a second adult in navy shirt. Both are disappointed. No antiques or temple statuary. Thief: The map is gone.
Outside rear workshop window Tony peers in from ledge. Ronald and Sokha stand below, listening. Second man: Then find it. Before the rain.
Sokha recognises an old plan pinned inside, with a small square building beside a blue canal. Ronald listens closely. Sokha: My father drew that plan.
Interior: second man pulls a photograph from envelope; it shows a small brass-bound box. Tony’s eye visible at window edge, men not noticing him. Thief: The box is still in the channel house.
