Munich

Munich is one of those cities that feels like it has everything. It is the beating heart of Bavaria, a region of Germany famous for its strong traditions, stunning scenery, and larger-than-life personality. Walking through Munich, you will find grand old buildings sitting comfortably next to cutting-edge museums, and city parks so enormous you could spend an entire day getting lost in them. In one corner of the English Garden, surfers ride a churning river wave as if they are at the beach — just one of the many surprises this city loves to spring on visitors.

Munich is world-famous for its culture of celebration, and its legendary autumn festival draws millions of visitors from across the globe every year. History lovers can explore fairy-tale castles on rocky hilltops, clock towers with dancing mechanical figures, and museums where you can step inside a real submarine. Whether you are into art, science, fast cars, or spectacular architecture, Munich has a way of making everyone feel right at home.
