Chennai

Chennai sits on the southeastern coast of India, where the warm waters of the Bay of Bengal meet a city bursting with colour, history, and energy. It is the heartbeat of South India’s Dravidian culture — one of the world’s oldest living civilisations — and walking its streets means discovering ancient temples decorated with hundreds of vivid sculptures, colonial-era forts that have stood for nearly four centuries, and churches with stories stretching back almost two thousand years.

But Chennai is not just about the past. Today it is one of Asia’s most important centres for manufacturing and industry, a city that is constantly building and moving forward while holding its traditions close.

And then there is the coast. Imagine a beach so vast and so long that you could spend an entire morning just walking from one end to the other. That is Marina Beach — a golden stretch where fishermen, families, and kite sellers all come together, making it one of the most unforgettable places in the whole country.
